Although always interested in good photography, Gary Miller only got serious about it when the digital SLR age came about. His reputation started out as being known as a Fire Photographer for the Sisters Nugget. His work on the Black Crater complex, the B&B complex and the Mt. Washington complex of Forest Fires in Central Oregon gained wide notice and has been used nationally.
A Computer Consultant and Access and VBA Programmer by trade, musician by choice, Gary finds that photography has provided fascinating challenges and a new creative outlet that really has no limits. "It seems I learn something new every time I put a camera to my eye."
He now shoots as a regular freelance photo journalist for the Nugget Newspaper, the Sisters Rodeo Association and the Sisters Oregon Guide. Gary has been featured in Bend Living magazine as a cover photographer and has been published in numerous other publications, both regionally and nationally. National Geographic has used his work for both website and print publications.
Gary enjoys shooting for marketing projects, real estate and business showcasing, family and personal portaiture, concert photography and product presentations.
A very deep portfolio as well as the photography here is usually available for 'stock' use by request. Please contact Gary directly for stock arrangements.
